Carrier oils are cold pressed from the seeds and nuts of plants and essential oils are concentrated extracts from aromatic flowers and leaves.
Carrier oils are very low in aroma whereas essential oils are basically plant perfumes. This is one reason why carrier oils are a great match with essential oils as they will not overpower the scent of your essential oils.
